Circle announces CCTP V2 for faster, secure cross-chain transfers

USDC stablecoin issuer Circle introduced on X the CCTP V2, the new version of its proprietary Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), set to launch in early 2025 on Ethereum, Base and Avalanche. The new version ensures faster-than-finality cross-chain USDC transfers, low-latency settlement in seconds and enhanced security for all transactions.
