The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission has asked prediction market platforms including Kalshi and Polymarket to provide services nationwide, CoinDesk reported, saying exchanges registered as designated contract markets should not block trading access for customers in specific states. Under the request, the companies must resume trading in areas where service was suspended within 30 days or submit reasons why reopening is not possible. CoinDesk said Kalshi is currently blocking customer access in Nevada, Washington and Michigan due to legal disputes, while the CFTC is maintaining its position that prediction market platforms should operate across the United States despite court orders restricting business operations, setting up a potential clash between regulators and the courts.

Bitcoin could rise to $120,000-$150,000 by the end of 2027 if liquidity conditions improve and sustained institutional demand returns, Utkarsh Ahuja, founder and managing partner at crypto-focused investment firm Moon Pursuit Capital, said in an interview with Crypto Briefing. Ahuja said the market is currently unstable and described the rally on Nov. 4 as a mix of relief buying, short covering and improving sentiment as political uncertainty after the election eased somewhat. But on Nov. 5, selling pressure reemerged across crypto and broader financial markets, quickly reversing the rebound, Ahuja said. He added the market had likely already priced in to some extent the possibility of a Democratic Party victory and cautioned against interpreting either the rally or the subsequent decline as a direct result of the election outcome. With rate expectations and overall risk appetite still unsettled, additional weakness could emerge in November, according to Ahuja.
