Binance leads in BTC transaction volumes in 2024 among crypto exchanges, says strategist

Macro strategist Shiven Moodley recently noted in a CryptoQuant post that Binance led in Bitcoin (BTC) transaction volumes in 2024, outperforming peers like Coinbase Advanced, OKX and KuCoin to become the top liquidity provider. Binance maintained high levels of BTC inflows and outflows during both bullish and bearish market periods, showing active trading engagement. Coinbase Advanced, on the other hand, saw fewer BTC inflows but substantial outflows during price rallies, indicating a preference for long-term investment likely from institutional or large-scale investors. OKX exhibited more speculative activity, with net flows reacting intensely to market volatility. Meanwhile, KuCoin showed minimal activity in BTC flows, suggesting a preference for altcoins among its users.
