CME FedWatch: Traders expect U.S. Fed to hold rates in January 2025

According to CME FedWatch, traders are increasingly betting that the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) will maintain interest rates at their current level during the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting in January 2025, with a 25 basis point rate cut expected in March. Currently, FedWatch data shows a 89.3% probability of no rate change at the January FOMC meeting and a 50% chance of a 25 basis point rate cut in March.
