Analyst: BTC bullish trend ongoing, selling not recommended

January 10, 2025, 1:48 AM
CryptoQuant contributor MAC_D noted in a post that Bitcoin's (BTC) short-term Spent Output Profit Ratio (SOPR) dropped to 0.987, showing that investors holding for less than six months are selling at a loss. Historically, such periods often precede upward trends, presenting a good time for accumulation. Additionally, key indicators like Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV), Net Unrealized Profit/Loss (NUPL), Puell Multiple and the short-term investor ratio suggest the upward cycle has not peaked. As short-term investors sell at a loss, smart money is likely to accumulate at lower prices, making selling at this stage an unwise decision, the analyst said.
