Lummis: Congress urgently needs to pass Bitcoin strategic reserve bill

Representative Cynthia Lummis, who has been confirmed as the Chairperson of the Digital Asset Subcommittee through a vote by the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, said in a statement uploaded to her X account that Congress must urgently pass a bipartisan bill that establishes a comprehensive regulatory framework for digital assets and strengthens the power of the U.S. dollar with a strategic Bitcoin reserve. She added that digital assets are the future, and if the U.S. is to remain a global leader in financial innovation, support from Congress is essential. Lummis stated that she looks forward to submitting a bipartisan bill relative to the Bitcoin strategic reserve to President Trump within the year to secure the future of American finance.
