Ripple adds clawback feature to XRP Ledger to enhance asset recovery
January 31, 2025, 1:48 PM
Ripple's XRP Ledger has activated the clawback amendment following a validator vote with over 90% approval, CoinDesk reported. This update allows tokens like Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin to be traded directly on the network’s decentralized exchange (DEX) and integrated into Automated Market Maker (AMM) pools. The feature improves regulatory compliance by enabling issuers to reclaim tokens under certain conditions, potentially boosting decentralized finance (DeFi) activity.
