Hong Kong Finance Secretary: Government exploring gold tokenization

The Consensus conference, a major global crypto and Web3 event, opened in Hong Kong on Feb. 18, marking its first edition outside the U.S. in five years, according to foreign media. Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan said the government is considering gold tokenization and integrating digital finance with the real economy, including cross-border payments.
