Real-world asset (RWA)-focused layer-1 blockchain MANTRA (OM) has obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). According to CoinDesk, the license allows MANTRA to operate as a virtual asset exchange and offer broker-dealer and investment management services in the region. The firm plans to offer regulatory-compliant DeFi products for institutional investors and expand its real-world asset (RWA) tokenization efforts, including a recent partnership with DAMAC Group to bring $1 billion in assets on-chain.
