SBF shifts to pro-Trump stance

February 20, 2025, 7:22 PM
Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), the former CEO and co-founder of failed crypto exchange, FTX, has taken a pro-Trump stance in his first interview after being imprisoned. That’s according to @tier10k on X, citing an interview conducted with SBF by a journalist from The New York Sun. SBF is known to have provided $40 million to the U.S. Democratic Party and $5.2 million to the Biden camp in 2020. He is currently serving a 25-year sentence at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York on multiple charges including fraud. A U.S. civic group previously reported that the possibility of SBF being pardoned is slim, although it does appear that he is angling for a pardon from the current U.S. president.
