Illuvium cuts workforce after underperformance of three Ethereum games

Ethereum-based game developer Illuvium has recently undergone downsizing, according to Decrypt. This restructuring led to job cuts and some key team members agreeing to salary reductions or opting to be paid in the game's own cryptocurrency.
This move follows last year’s launch of three interconnected games that did not elicit much enthusiasm from players. In December, Illuvium had already attempted to lower its operating costs by introducing a salary cap of $85,000 among other changes. However, co-founder Kieran Warwick said this week that deeper reductions were needed.
