Burniske sees current market downturn as mid-bull correction, urges patience

March 04, 2025, 7:54 AM
Chris Burniske, co-founder of venture capital firm Placeholder, said on X that the current market downturn is a mid-term correction within a bull market rather than the peak of a cycle. He noted that many investors are capitulating by selling Bitcoin (BTC), viewing this as an opportunity for those who remain patient. Burniske warned that selling now risks being sidelined during the next rally and suggested that those struggling with volatility might benefit from avoiding crypto price checks. Burniske highlighted that altcoins have been leading BTC, which has influenced equities and said that if equities weaken further, intervention may follow, as U.S. President Donald Trump closely monitors the stock market, with crypto likely to react most sharply to such measures.
