The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has clarified that under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), the custody and transfer of non-compliant stablecoins are not explicitly prohibited, Cointelegraph reported. However, European crypto asset service providers (CASPs) are advised to limit services that facilitate their acquisition. Previously, Binance Exchange announced plans to delist nine non-MiCA-compliant stablecoins, including USDT, for users in the European Economic Area (EEA) starting March 31, while still allowing deposits and withdrawals.
