New York State Legislature introduces bill to add cryptocurrency fraud to criminal code

The New York State Legislature has introduced a bill (A06515) aimed at defining cryptocurrency-related crimes, Odaily reported. The bill proposes amending the state's criminal code to include offenses such as virtual token fraud, illegal rug pulls, private key fraud and fraud involving undisclosed virtual token interests.
