CEO: OKX never helped Bybit hackers launder money

Amid Bloomberg’s report that European regulators are investigating OKX’s Web3 service in connection with the laundering of $100 million worth of cryptocurrency stolen from Bybit, OKX CEO Mingxing Xu has refuted claims that OKX Web3 wallet is purely self-custody software. In addition, he asserted that OKX has never helped Bybit hackers launder money. The OKX CEO said that Bybit used OKX wallet/DEX APIs to build its own Web3 wallet and DEX infrastructure. After the Bybit hack, OKX worked closely with Bybit, Xu stated, to provide technical support.
