Circle launches native USDC on Linea, expands support to 19 blockchains

Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, announced on its official X account the launch of native USDC on Linea, an Ethereum layer-2 network developed by Consensys. This marks the first transition from bridged to native USDC on the platform. The update also includes integration with Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) V2, aimed at improving transfer speed and offering institutional on/off-ramp functionality. USDC is now natively supported on 19 blockchains.
