Abound raises $14M to expand U.S. remittance app for Indian expats

Abound, a remittance app launched by Times Internet in 2023, has secured $14 million in its first funding round led by the NEAR Foundation, according to TechCrunch. The startup targets affluent Indian expats in the U.S. with money transfer services, rewards and cashback on essentials. Abound plans to expand its offerings, improve tech infrastructure and explore new markets like Canada and the UAE.
