Vanuatu parliament passes crypto regulation bill

The parliament of Vanuatu, a South Pacific island nation known as a tax haven, has passed a bill to regulate crypto firms, Cointelegraph reported. The parliament has granted the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC) the power to enforce the Financial Action Task Force’s Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorism Financing and Travel Rule standards with crypto firms. The VFSC will also have the authority to issue crypto licenses, alongside conducting investigations and enforcement.
