Aptos active & new addresses fall sharply

The number of active and new addresses for Aptos (APT), a layer-1 blockchain based on the Move programming language, has dropped sharply. According to The Block, the number of active addresses (7-day moving average) stands at 644,000, the lowest this year and the lowest since November of last year. This figure has been steadily decreasing since reaching an all-time high in February. The number of new addresses also dropped by more than 40% during the same period. The publication stated that this demonstrates that an increase in new addresses did not lead to long-term users.
