Tether confirms 7.7 tons of gold-backed XAU₮ token

Tether has released its first attestation for Tether Gold (XAU₮), verifying 7.7 tons of gold held in Swiss vaults back its $770 million supply. The attestation, under El Salvador’s regulatory framework, strengthens XAU₮’s position as the largest tokenized gold asset, The Crypto Basic reported.
