Circle and Onafriq launch USDC pilot to cut cross-border payment costs in Africa

Circle, issuer of the USDC stablecoin, has partnered with African payments giant Onafriq to pilot USDC settlements over 40 countries, according to Cointelegraph. The initiative aims to reduce cross-border transaction fees by leveraging Onafriq’s network of over 500 wallets and 200 million bank accounts.
