An elderly American has been identified as the victim of a $330.7 million Bitcoin theft, now the fifth-largest crypto hack in history, according to Cointelegraph, citing onchain investigator ZachXBT. The attacker used social engineering to access the victim’s wallet, stealing 3,520 BTC on April 28 and quickly laundering it through over 300 wallets, 20+ exchanges and privacy-focused Monero. Experts say the scale and sophistication suggest a highly coordinated operation, though no known hacker group has been definitively linked.
