South Korean prosecutors seek 10-year term for employee who embezzled $3.86M for crypto investments

Prosecutors in South Korea have sought a 10-year prison sentence for a finance department employee in his 40s who allegedly embezzled 5.53 billion won (approximately $3.86 million) in company funds to invest in cryptocurrency, according to the Herald Business. He is accused of embezzling the funds 66 times starting in March 2022 over a period of several months and has since been indicted and detained.
