U.S. Ivy League university holding $4.9M in spot Bitcoin ETF shares

Brown University, a prestigious Ivy League school in the U.S., submitted a securities filing reporting that it holds 105,000 shares of BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), IBIT, as of March 31, Wu Blockchain reported via X. The holding has a value of around $4.9 million. The stock was newly added to Brown University's portfolio in the first quarter of this year. Brown University holds a total of 14 stocks, with an overall value of $216 million.
