Cannes shops to accept crypto by summer 2025

Most shops in Cannes, France, are expected to accept cryptocurrency payments by summer 2025, aiming for 90% adoption among local merchants, according to Artem Shaginyan of Web3 firm Lunu Pay. The initiative, supported by the Cannes municipal government, seeks to modernize the city’s payment ecosystem and attract high-income clientele. Cannes joins other global cities like Lugano, Vancouver and Panama City in expanding crypto adoption for everyday transactions, Cointelegraph reported.
