U.S. Bitcoin miners brace for tariff impact as Russia stands to gain

Despite U.S. President Trump’s pro-crypto stance, U.S. Bitcoin miners are adjusting their strategies in response to rising tariffs on imported mining equipment, according to The Block. With most hardware still made abroad—especially in China—higher tariffs could hurt American miners while benefiting Russian firms able to acquire machines at lower costs. A temporary 90-day tariff pause has eased pressure, but uncertainty looms as companies rush to prepare ahead of July. Global miners are increasingly eyeing alternative markets like Africa and South America to cut costs and diversify operations.
