A whale transferred 1,000 ETH ($2.5 million) to Binance after 2.3 years of inactivity, Onchain Lens reported on X. Etherscan data shows the transaction took place around 20 minutes ago. Usually, deposits to crypto exchanges signal potential selling, while withdrawals suggest long-term holding. However, a deposit doesn’t always mean a sale. According to CoinMarketCap data, ETH is currently trading at $2,495.18, down 2.51% over the past day.
