Aave approves PEPE as first meme coin collateral

The Aave community approved a governance proposal with 76.76% support to add PEPE as the first meme coin collateral on the platform, according to JinSe Finance. The proposal targets Aave V3’s isolated market and aims to expand user adoption, boost GHO stablecoin usage and increase protocol revenue. It will proceed to risk assessment and formal governance steps.
