Thailand is planning to let tourists spend crypto via credit card-based platforms, with merchants receiving Thai baht, according to Cointelegraph, citing local news outlets. The pilot program, currently under review by the Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Thailand, will launch once core infrastructure and compliance measures are ready. Payments will be settled in Thai baht, with merchants typically unaware crypto was used. Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira, a crypto supporter, also announced plans to reform financial laws to align traditional finance and crypto markets.
