Musk says XChat will use Bitcoin-style encryption and support all file types

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on X that the social media platform’s new messaging feature, XChat, is rolling out with Bitcoin-style encryption, along with end-to-end security, vanishing messages, audio and video calling and support for all file types. Notably, the system is built using Rust and introduces a completely new architecture.
