Tesla CEO Elon Musk, amid growing rumors of a feud with U.S. President Donald Trump, stated on X that SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft will not be decommissioned, responding to calls for both sides to cool off. The Dragon serves as NASA’s primary crew transportation vehicle.
The tensions began when Musk resigned from Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and criticized Trump’s tax bill that ended electric vehicle purchase subsidies. Trump’s response fueled speculation of a rift between the two, contributing to sharp declines in Tesla’s stock price and the cryptocurrency market. After Trump vowed to cancel Musk’s government contracts, Musk initially hinted at decommissioning the Dragon spacecraft.Log in to leave comments!
