William Mougayar: Crypto value should not be judged by price alone

The value of cryptocurrencies should be assessed based on factors like utility and adoption, rather than speculation about price alone. That’s according to William Mougayar, founder of the Ethereum Market Research Centre, in an opinion piece that he wrote for CoinDesk. Mougayar asserts that homing in exclusively on price action obscures the real technological advancements and progress that are taking place on blockchains such as Ethereum (ETH). He added that collaboration between Bitcoin and Ethereum projects could be a win-win. Through the sharing of liquidity and utility, Mougayar suggests that we could expect a synergy effect that would only amplify the strengths of both networks. Ultimately, the most valuable technology should be usable in real life, rather than a flashy ticker, he concluded.
