70% of Russian crypto miners remain unregistered despite new regulations, says official

Despite the implementation of two crypto mining laws in late 2024 that introduced legal definitions and registration requirements, around 70% of Russian miners remain unregistered, according to Finance Ministry official Ivan Chebeskov. As reported by Cointelegraph, citing a recent TASS report, Chebeskov said the government aimed to bring the industry into the legal framework but acknowledged that the process is still ongoing.
