Venus Protocol reportedly attacked with $2M in losses

Web3 security project GoPlus reported on X that Venus Protocol, a decentralized lending platform on BNB Chain, may have suffered an attack resulting in losses of around $2 million. The stolen assets reportedly include a significant amount of vTokens, such as vUSDT. The incident is believed to be linked to maximal extractable value (MEV) exploitation and permission management vulnerabilities.
