ZachXBT: Up to 920 crypto jobs linked to North Korean hackers

Crypto investigator ZachXBT has identified 345 to 920 suspected North Korean hackers working in crypto IT and development roles globally. These operatives have allegedly earned over $16.5 million in salaries, often holding multiple jobs simultaneously to gain insider access. Despite weak KYC/AML practices at some firms, common red flags—such as inconsistent digital footprints and poor job performance—could help identify these infiltrators. The findings highlight growing security risks as DeFi breaches tied to North Korean groups like Lazarus increase, BeInCrypto reported.
