MetaMask considering the introduction of Stripe-issued stablecoin

A governance proposal has been put before MetaMask’s community to introduce a stablecoin, according to Aggr News via X. The stablecoin, MetaMask USD (mmUSD), would be issued through global online payment company Stripe. MetaMask has in excess of 30 million users, which would provide the stablecoin with an easier pathway towards distribution.
