August 15, 2025, 12:51 PM
A joint report from Keyrock and Bitso projects stablecoins could account for 12% of global cross-border payments, about $1 trillion, by 2030, up from under 3% in 2024. According to DL News, analysts say growth depends on improved regulation, liquidity and interoperability, with regulatory clarity already advancing in the U.S. and Europe. Major players like Tether, Circle, fintechs and banks are expanding into the sector, with some launching proprietary blockchains to capture more transaction value. Circle recently unveiled its Arc blockchain, while Tether operates Plasma and Stable.
