Putin says Russia sincerely hopes for end to Ukraine war

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that relations between Moscow and Washington have fallen to their lowest point since the Cold War but stressed it is time to correct course, according to China Central Television (CCTV). Speaking at a joint press conference after talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, Putin described the meeting as constructive, saying Trump showed a willingness to understand the roots of the conflict. He added that Russia sincerely hopes the war in Ukraine will come to an end.
