Pro-crypto Hong Kong Legislative Council member Johnny Ng said in an interview with public broadcaster RTHK that South Korean companies are willing to participate in the development of the city's crypto market.
He cited a meeting in April of last year between former South Korean Financial Supervisory Service Governor Lee Bok-hyun and Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) CEO Julia Leung Fung-yee, where they discussed local crypto trading and regulatory trends. Ng added that the two sides also agreed to maintain close cooperation on virtual asset regulation.
