Crypto-AI projects attract $516M in investment this year

Projects combining artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency have attracted approximately $516 million in investment so far this year, DL News reported. The amount raised through August is 6% higher than the total for all of 2024. According to DeFiLlama, major investors in AI crypto projects this year include Bitwise, Pantera, Sequoia, and YZi Labs, formerly known as Binance Labs. In connection with this, Bitwise Senior Investment Strategist Juan Leon forecast that the convergence of crypto and AI is a mega-trend and a technology that could add $20 trillion to global GDP by 2030.
