Wyoming selects Hedera as candidate blockchain for state stablecoin

Hedera (HBAR) has been selected by the Wyoming Stable Token Commission (WYST) as a candidate network for the state's official stablecoin, the Frontier Stable Token (FRNT), the project announced on its official blog. According to the announcement, Hedera was the only network to meet the commission's requirements for speed, reliability, and regulatory compliance. The FRNT token was issued last month and is 100% backed by U.S. dollars and short-term U.S. Treasury bills.
