Belarusian president orders development of crypto regulations

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has directed officials to draft cryptocurrency regulations during a State Council meeting, Cointelegraph reported. He stated that the law has not kept pace with technological development, leading to the frequent misuse of digital assets for criminal activities. Lukashenko stressed the need to promptly establish measures that ensure the transparency of cryptocurrencies. The directive follows a previous order from March in which he called for the development of a state-led cryptocurrency mining industry.
