A roundtable meeting aimed at passing a U.S. bill to create a strategic Bitcoin reserve is scheduled to be held on Sept. 16, The Block reported.
The event will be co-hosted by Senator Cynthia Lummis and Representative Nick Begich, who co-sponsored the legislation. Attendees are expected to include crypto industry executives such as Strategy founder Michael Saylor, MARA Holdings CEO Fred Thiel, and CleanSpark CEO Matt Schultz.
Lummis previously introduced the bill, which proposes that the U.S. government purchase 200,000 BTC annually for five years to accumulate a total of one million BTC.
