Vitalik Buterin: Base is a Layer 2 that aligns with Ethereum's philosophy

Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has praised Coinbase's Ethereum Layer 2 network, Base, describing it as a Layer 2 built in the right way. He noted that while Base offers a stronger user experience through centralized features, its security relies on Ethereum's decentralized base layer. Buterin also explained that because Base does not directly hold user funds, it cannot seize assets or block withdrawals.
