Lawmakers in the U.S. state of Wisconsin have introduced a bill to exempt individuals and businesses from the requirement to obtain a money transmitter license for cryptocurrency activities, Cointelegraph reported. The proposed legislation would waive licensing obligations for crypto mining, staking, and blockchain software development. It would also permit self-custody through personal wallets and the use of cryptocurrency for payments.
