The Sandbox to launch Layer 2 network SandChain

The Sandbox plans to launch SandChain, an Ethereum Layer 2 network that will use the SAND token as its native gas and utility token, Decrypt reported. The network aims to provide a platform for on-chain creators, allowing them to own their content, monetize their digital identities, and manage their communities. A testnet is scheduled to launch on Oct. 14.
