Sweden Democrats lawmakers propose national BTC reserve to join digital arms race

Two members of the Sweden Democrats party, lawmakers Dennis Dioukarev and David Perez, have officially proposed that the government consider creating a strategic Bitcoin reserve, Cointelegraph reported. The pair argued that Sweden should hold BTC to counter inflation and diversify the nation's assets. In their proposal, they contended that with major countries like the U.S. already building reserves, Sweden must participate in what they described as a "digital arms race." They added that the country should recognize Bitcoin's potential and join the ranks of nations that have embraced it.
