New York State senator introduces bill to heavily tax Bitcoin miners

New York State Senator Liz Krueger has introduced a bill that would impose heavy taxes on Bitcoin mining companies, BeInCrypto reported. The proposal calls for a progressive tax on miners, with the collected revenue to be used to subsidize public utility bills for residents. While small businesses would be exempt, large corporations could be required to pay more than twice the tax rate of their competitors.
