Theta Labs secures US patent for decentralized computing architecture

Theta Labs, the developer of Theta Network (THETA), announced on Oct. 9 that it has acquired a U.S. patent for a hybrid edge-cloud computing architecture for decentralized computing platforms. According to the company, this hybrid structure, which integrates edge devices with cloud infrastructure, is effective for both implementing and securing such platforms. Theta Labs added that this approach is particularly useful for AI applications, as it allows edge devices to handle latency-sensitive, real-time computations while offloading larger, more complex tasks to the cloud.
