Ethereum core developer claims Vitalik, elite group control ecosystem

Ethereum core developer Péter Szilágyi has argued that the network's ecosystem is dominated by founder Vitalik Buterin and a small group of elites. In a statement posted on GitHub, Szilágyi claimed that the ecosystem is controlled by this select group, leading new projects to seek initial investment from them rather than conduct public token sales. He asserted that the direction of Ethereum is ultimately decided by personal relationships with Buterin, and a project's chances of success are determined by whether it captures his interest. Szilágyi concluded that although Ethereum aims for decentralization, Buterin continues to exert absolute influence over the entire ecosystem.
